Mrs. Joyce Rice Stewart died at a Big Spring hospital, following the death of her mother-in-law, Mrs. Mildred Forgus, 48. Both were of Big Spring. Mrs. Stewart's husband, Herbert Lee Stewart was in serious condition on Monday. The trio were travelling south on State 350 when their pickup truck collided nearly head-on with a car driven by J.K. Matthews of Enid, OK. He was not hurt. The accident occurred Sunday, two miles north of Big Spring. Matthews was north bound. Both vehicles were heavily damaged. Mrs. Forgus was born 20 March 1912 in Comanche County and moved to Big Spring in 1935. She was a member of the Westover Baptist church. Funeral plans will be announced by Nalley-Price Funeral Home. Surviving: her husband - Lewis Forgus; 3 sons - Herbert Lee Stewart, Bobbie Ray Stewart, W.L. Nowell of Big Spring; 1 daughter - Mrs. Stella Marshall of Big Spring; 2 brothers - Arnold Lloyd of Knott, Judson Lloyd of Big Spring; 2 sisters - Mrs. Jessie Reed and Miss Laverne Lloyd of Comanche; her father - A.J. Lloyd of Big Spring; her mother - Mrs. Minnie Lloyd of Comanche; four grandchildren.
