ÒBobÓ Davis, Abilene resident since 1920 and a member of a prominent West Texas ranch family will be held at the family home, 718 Victoria this afternoon. Mrs. Davis died Friday at Hendrick Memorial Hospital where she had been for treatment since December 24. Mrs. Davis had been in failing health for several months. Rev. J.O. Haymes, pastor of the St. Paul Methodist church, of which Mrs. Davis was a devoted member and Rev. J.H. Hamblen, pastor of the First Methodist church will officiate. Burial will be in the local cemetery. Mrs. Davis, the former Hattie Collins, was born 19 January 1870. She was married to G.R. Davis in Kaufman county, in 1893 and the family moved soon thereafter to Stephens county, residing there as pioneer ranch and cattle people, until moving to Abilene. Surviving: her husband; a daughter, Mrs. T. Edgar Johnson of Vernon; son Ð L.G. Davis of Abilene; a daughter Ð Mrs. L.M. ÒOma DavisÓ Touchstone died in an automobile accident in Merkel last 17 June and a fourth child died in infancy. There are two grandchildren: Mary Frances Johnson and Louie Robert Davis. Mrs. Davis had been a member of the Methodist church since she was a girl, nine years old. Pallbearers: C.M. Caldwell, Gray Browne, J.C. Crownover, Columbus Hargrove, Ira Guffey, Gene McDaniel, W.A.
