Hollis died today at his late residence in College Heights, Abilene, Texas, after an illness which began Saturday night at midnight when taken sick with pneumonia. Dr. T.S. Hollis was 37 years of age at the time of his death. He moved to Abilene with his motherÕs family 22 years ago. He graduated in dentistry and began the practice of his profession in Abilene 11 years ago and had built up a large and lucrative patronage. The members of his immediate family who survive him are: his wife; son Ð T.S. Hollis, Jr., and little daughter, Madge; his mother: Mrs. Kate Hollis; 2 brothers Ð Will Hollis of Hawley and Dr. L. W. Hollis of Abilene; five sisters Ð Mesdames Max Andrews and W.T. Russell of Oklahoma City; J.W. Skinner of Anson, Mac Merchant and Ed. Nichols of Abilene. He also has a number of nephews and nieces. Dr. Tom Hollis, an everybody know him, was a good man, always cheerful and happy, he shed many rays of sunshine upon those with whom he came in contact. He was a devoted husband and father, son and brother, a consistent friend and a man who was ever ready to do whatever he could for others. He was a consistent member of the First Baptist church. Funeral will be held Saturday, 7 November at the family residence in College Heights and will be conducted by his pastor, Rev. R.A. Kimbrough, who will be assisted by Rev. J.A. Challenner, pastor of the First Christian church.
