Reed died this morning. His friends did not realize his dangerous condition, and no one was with him but his son Ollie Reed and daughter, Miss Lila Reed. Dr. Reed was a good man in all his relations, and we are grieved by his death. He leaves a married daughter at Ballinger, one beyond Content, Miss Daisy, who is teaching in Ballinger, Miss Lila at home, Ollie a son at home and John, a soldier at Manila. The funeral will take place Saturday. The funeral services of the late Dr. Reed, were held at the First M.E. Church South, this afternoon, Rev. H.A. Boaz conducting. The interment followed at the city cemetery under the auspices of the Masons, of which order he was a member. A large number of citizens followed the remains to their last resting place.
