Born October 31, 1884 in Georgia, he was married July 15, 1917 to Laura Hayden, Lawn, Texas, and came to western Oklahoma in 1922 settling at Roll, in Roger Mills county. In 1956 he moved to the Buffalo community. He was a member of the Buffalo Bible Baptist church. Two sisters and his parents preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Laura Goode of the home address, one daughter, Mrs. Bill Hardwick, Altus, three sons, Rexford of Whittier, California, William of Grimes and Dale of Torrance, California, and five grandchildren.
