JACK DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS Funeral Services To Be Conducted At 4 P.M. Sunday Mrs. Nellie Parker Jack, 1690 Neches street, died at her home Friday night at 10:30 o'clock following an illness of three years. Mrs. Jack, for years a leader in church and civic activities of Beaumont, was the widow of the late Capt. J. W. Jack, who died about six years ago. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church, and during her lifetime held many offices in the East Texas Presbyterial. She was also connected with the Y. W. C. A. She was the daughter of Major Robert H. Parker, pioneer lumber and cattleman of west Texas and was born at McKinney, Texas, moving to Abilene at an early age. She has been a resident of Beaumont for many years. SPINDLE TOP. She was also interested in the development of the new Spindle Top oil field owning land which is known as the Jack-Duff lease. Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Sam R. Cox, Mrs. Tom M. Willis, Mrs. George W. McDaniel, all of Abilene, Mrs. Bettie P. Kelly of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. D. P. Woodward of Dallas, and one brother, John T. Parker of Silver City, N.M. Funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the residence, with Rev. T. M. Hunter, officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia cemetery under the direction of Roberts Undertaking company. Active pallbearers will be P. J. Pool, Will Stanley, Leon Bell, Harry Carroll, Terry Duff, S. G. Burnet, Will Blain, John P. [T.?] Willis, J. H. Henry, H. A. Falkenhagen and Si Burnet. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. W. T. Williams, J. A. Sparkman, Monroe Carroll, P. A. Dowlen, Charles H.
