Jo Stroud Davis Flatters

Jo Stroud Davis Flatters, age 88, of Bedford, Texas passed away on Thursday,
August 23, 2007 at the Universal Hospice and Pallative Care Facility.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at the
First Baptist Church with Ron Bishop and Reverend Will Fish officiating with
burial to follow in the Throckmorton Cemetery directed by Merriman - Archer
Funeral Home of Throckmorton, Texas.

Visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 25, 2007
at the funeral home.

Jo was born on March 12, 1919 in Elbert, Texas to Jim and Birdie McCarson
Stroud. Jo was a member of the First Baptist Church of Throckmorton and taught
Sunday School for 28 years. Jo was a faithful choir member for 40 years in both
Elbert and Throckmorton. She married Archie Davis on August 23, 1939 in Seymour,
Texas. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1972. She married John Flatters of
Breckenridge in 1974 He preceded her n death n 1978.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, E. B. Stroud,
Duard Stroud and Bill W. Stroud.

Survivors include: two daughters, Mollye Brown of Bedford, Texas and Margaret
Bishop also of Bedford, Texas; sister, Audine Searcy of Abilene, Texas;
grandson, Jason Bishop and wife Julie of Mansfield, Texas; granddaughter, Julie
Vick and husband, Kevin of North Richland Hills, Texas; and four great
grandchildren.
