John Irwin Forgery, who was killed 1 February 1945, on Mindoro Island, were held Wednesday at the Presbyterian church in Throckmorton. Members of the Ennis Irwin Post of the American Legion were in charge of military services at the church and at the grave in Throckmorton cemetery. Merriman Funeral home directed. Born 29 August 1921, near Lawton, Okla., Lieutenant Forgery was the only child of Mrs. E.F. Hozeska. He lived in Albany several years during his childhool, but spent most of his life in northern states.
