Jean Scott Woods

Jean Scott Woods, age 84, of Throckmorton, Texas, passed away on Thursday,
August 23, 2007 at the Throckmorton County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at the
First Baptist Church with Reverend Will Fish officiating. Burial will follow in
the Throckmorton Cemetery directed by Merriman - Archer Funeral Home of
Throckmorton, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2007
at the funeral home.

Jean was born on October 4, 1922 in Throckmorton Texas to Tencil James and Lena
Beatrice "Berry" Scott. She and Curtis Woods were married on July 13, 1945 in
Brownwood, Texas. She had lived in Stamford, Fort Worth and Beaumont before
moving to Throckmorton in 1983. She taught school in Stamford for several years.
Jean was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #500 in Throckmorton and a
Baptist.

Survivors include: her husband, Curtis Woods of Throckmorton, Texas; daughters,
Karen Moore f Lake Jackson, Texas and Sandra Farmer of Tioga, Texas; sister,
Lavern Green of Farmers Branch, Texas; four grandchildren; and three great
grandchildren.
