Since no monuments existed in the cemetery, no effort was expended to locate it exactly. It was located in the Davy Whitworth Headright Survey A-615 plot 200-202 on lands currently owned by Heinrick & Teresa Gunster. Lynch Harper in his "Cemeteries of Titus County" states there were from 6 to 20 ex-slaves buried in this cemetery. He further states that "This graveyard is a short distance south of Snake Creek, on a hill in a wooded area. Retired Dr. John Ellis did not remember the location of the cemetery. He was quoted in the Lynch Harper reference above as stating a young African-American named Toby Newton was buried in the cemetery. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
