Sherman Cemetery. Located in the Soutwestern part of Titus County, about 14 miles out of Mt. Pleasant on the F.W. Benson Survey. It is about 200 yards East of FM Highway 21. This is probably one of the oldest cemeteries in Titus County as there were people living in that area in the early 1830's. It is only a short distance from Old Fort Sherman, which was established in 1839. There are now only two monuments - to T. H. Miller and Wife. There are Scotts, Benson, Millers and other families buried in this cemetery. See the Ft. Sherman Cemetery for further information.
