Gilpin of the Court of said County do certify that the forgoing instrument of writing, dated on the 30th day of January A. D. 1857 with its Certificate of Authentication was filed for record in my office the 4th day of November A. D. 1857 in the Deed Record of said County in Vol. 108 page 466. Witness my hand and seal of the court of said County at my office in Mt. Pleasant, Texas this the date last above written. A. B. Gilpin John Browers to deed Nancy Bell. this indenture made the 30th day of January one thousand eight hundred and fifty seven between John Browers of the County of Upshur and State of Texas of the first fact and Nancy Bell formerly Nancy Stovall of the same place of the second part witnessed that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars lawful money of the United Stated to him duly paid before the delivering here of both bargained and sol and by there to the said party of the second part her heirs and assigns forever all that certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the County and State of foresaid and which is know as described as follows, Beginning at a post figure which a Red Oak bears S 48 W21 was marked J. B., a sweet gum marked 2 bears S 49 W 15 vais _________1349 vais to a post from which a red aok bears S 29 W 3 vais marked J. B. and others marked X bears N 22 E 7 vais South 610 vais to Big Cypress 730 vais same 737 vais same 1344 to a post from which a post oak bears N 55 E 18 vais Marked J. B. a Hickory marked X bears N 63 E. 18 vais _______East 1393 vais to a post on a line of H. B. Hutchins survey from which a post oak bears N 15 W 12 vais marked J. B. a hickoy marked X bears N 16 W 8vais _______north with said line 1794 vais Big Cypress 1344 vais to the beginning containing 320 acres more or less. And the said party of the first part do convey and ___ with the said party of the second part that at the time of delivery hereof the said party of the first part is the lawful owner of the premises above granted and seized there of in fee simple absolute and that he warrants and defends the above granted premises in the just and peaceable possession of the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns forever.......................set by my hand and _________this the thirtieth day of January one thousand eight hundred and fifty seven. Bell one of the persons being witnesses to the forgoing deed and after being duly sworn says that the grantor John Crowers asknowledged in his prescence that he had executed the same by making his mark for the consideration and purposes therein stated and that he signed the same as a witness at the request of the parties.
