B. Wilkinson, Notary Public, in and for the said county and state aforesaid, Sarah Ann Smith age 73 years, a resident of Roeder, County of Titus, State of Texas, who being sworn according to law, declares she is the widow of Henry G. Smith deceased who served the period of thirty days in the Indian Wars, service of the United States, who enlisted under the name of Henry G. Smith in Henry Co., GA GA Volunteers. She further states that she was married to the said Henry G. Smith in the County of Henry and State of GA on the 22 day of Sept. 1843 by J. McNeal, J. P. and she further states that her name before her said marriage was Sarah Ann Clinton and that she has not remarried since the death of said H. G. Smith and she further states that she has never, or him been married to anyone else. Her said husband H. G. Smith died at Roeder, in the State of Texas on the 17th day of March 1893. Since his discharge from said service they have resided as follows: from Henry Co., GA to Chambers Co., AL to Tallapoosa Co. AL to Cass Co. TX to Titus Co., TX. She further states that she was born in the Dist. of Chester and State of SC on or about the 23 day of DEC 1825. Her P. O. is c/o H. G.
