Blevins passed away at 5:30 o'clock Sunday morning at the family home in the East New Hope community after a brief illness. Deceased, who was a member of a pioneer Titus County family, was 72 years of age at the time of her death. She had resided in the southeast part of the county for practically all of her life. She is survived by a husband, three sons and three daughters. Her children are Arthur, Roy and John Blevins of Dallas, Mrs. W. R. Whitaker of this city, Mrs. W. P. Martin of Lubbock, Mrs. Quince Davis of Miami, Fla. She also leaves a mother Mrs. Edna Lasater, who is 92 years of age, and four sisters, Mrs. Sallie Justiss, Mrs. A. M. Ryan, Mrs. S. Sherman Calloway, all of Titus County, and Mrs. L. D. Roach of Pittsburg. Funeral services were held at four o'clock Monday afternoon at East New Hope Church, under the direction of Rev. J. D. McClung, of this city, assisted by Rev. O. E. Short of Winfield. Burial took place at the nearby cemetery.
