Dale, 88, well-known resident of Mount Pleasant, Texas, died at 2:55 p.m. Monday in a Mount Pleasant nursing home. He had been ill for about three weeks. Mr. Dale was a retired motel operator and had lived in Mount Pleasant most of his life. He was a member of the Baptist Church and a 32nd Degree Mason. He is survived by a son, Ersel C. Dale of Mount Pleasant; three daughters, Mrs. C. D. Farnham of Texarkana, Mrs. Joseph E. Albert of Falls Church, VA., and Miss Bobbie Ruth Dale of Lufkin, TX; a brother O. L. Dale of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Mrs Susie Gautney of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Ellie Vaught and Mrs Annie Phillips of Electra, Texas; seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Bridges Chapel Church in Mt.Pleasant with the Rev. Mouzon Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in Bridges Chapel Cemetery with Masonic graveside services. Active pallbearers will be members of the Masonic Lodge. The body will remain at the Texarkana Funeral Home until 5 p.m. Tuesday when it will be taken to the Smith-Bates Funeral Home at Mount Pleasant.
