J. Tallaferro, a citizen of that place and formerly of this county. Tallaferro made his escape. King was a poor man with a wife and several children depending on him. The good people of Mount Pleasant helped her to purse her journey. (Reprinted in the Harrison Flag, Aug. 18, 1860)
