It is largely assumed Seaborn followed his brother, Henry Bickerstaff to the area, as Henry was a land holder there by c. 1844. Frances and Seaborn were accompanied to the Titus/Franklin area by 4 of Frances' siblings and at least one additional brother of Seaborn's, John Bickerstaff. The Mayfield siblings were: Grandison Franklin Mayfield and wife, Henrietta; Amanda M. Mayfield; Elizabeth Mayfield Trimmer (Obediah), and Susannah Angeline Lowrance (Abile S.) James Black "Buck" Bickerstaff was the first child of Frances M. and Seaborn Bickerstaff. His wife was Virginia M. ? ... possibly SIMMS, daughter of Charles Simms of Sulpher Springs. James and Virginia Bickerstaff had two daughters, Susan, b. TX c. 1873 and Frances Ladonia, b. TX Oct 5, 1877. "Ladonia" m. Wade Hampton Awtry. Also, they had two other children who died in infancy, buried near/next to James B. and Virginia M.
