Service will be at 3 p.m. Monday, June 2, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles with the Rev. Faith Jensen officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Theresa was born Jan. 29, 1905, to Joe and Ida Weiss in Lockhart. She came to Miles with her parents by covered wagon. She was a lifetime resident of Miles. She married Alfonse Kriegel on March 7, 1923, in San Angelo. He preceded her in death Dec. 15, 1962. Theresa was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles and the Rebekah Lodge, Eastern Star and the Lowake Home Extension Club. Theresa will be remembered by her wonderful baking of coffee cakes and crocheting of afghans. She is survived by two daughters, Dot Hohensee and her husband, Cliff, of Wall and Ruth Hyde and her husband, Tom, of Miles; two grandsons, Alan and Mark Hohensee, both of Miles; three granddaughters, Jan Yanez of Robert Lee, Tracy Wilson of Killeen and Ginger Hurst of Veribest; seven great-grandchildren, Emilee Yanez, Zachary Wilson, Angie Hohensee, Doug Hohensee, Dusty Hohensee, Sterling Hohensee and Joey Wilkes; two sisters-in-law, Augusta Kriegel of San Angelo and Linda Kriegel Betzman of Whitefish, Mont.; and a number of nieces and nephews. FAYE TABOR Faye Tabor succumbed to pneumonia after a lengthy battle with cancer on May 30, 1997, surrounded by the love of her family. Service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 1, in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jason Adams, associate pastor First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 2, at Friendship United Methodist Cemetery in Milam County with the Rev. Bill Fulton officiating. Faye was born Feb. 11, 1921, in Milam County and was educated at Southwest Texas State University and Angelo State University. After teaching at Cherokee, and while living in Waco, she was married on Feb. 3, 1942, to Marion Mills Tabor Jr. He preceded her in death on Oct. 19, 1987. She was a classroom teacher for more than 40 years and was well known for her service to education, her church and community. She invested her time and energy to help people of all ages. She is survived by her sister and dearest friend, Sarah Elizabeth Shelton of Milam County, who was also a classroom teacher. They always helped each other, shared many common goals and loved to travel together. Her sister's piano music was always a delight for her. She is also survived by her children, Mike Tabor of Dallas and Ann McQuerrey of San Angelo and their spouses, Mary Coleman Tabor and Frank McQuerrey. A special joy in her life were her grandchildren, David Tabor, Elizabeth Tabor and Kristin Faye and husband, Alex Ramirez; and her great-granddaughter, Kaley Kristine Ramirez. Special gratitude is extended by the family to her friends of long standing who have given encouragement and support to her through the years. Her presence in our lives will not soon be forgotten. Henry was born Jan. 6, 1908, in Runnels County to Charlie and Alvina Hamann Rose. He married Elda Lisso on June 18, 1939, in Rowena. He was a self-employed farmer and rancher. He was a member of the Zoar United Church of Christ in Rowena and the Runnels County Farm Bureau and had been a past director of the Concho County Farm Bureau. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his wife, Elda, on Nov. 17, 1992. PEGGY JULIA BALL DALLAS - Peggy Julia Ball, born Feb. 25, 1901, passed away Saturday, May 31, 1997, after a brief illness. She is survived by two daughters, Helen Ball Moore of San Angelo and Suzette Ball Shushok of McKinney; a brother, Ernest Littlepage of Louisiana; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Peggy was born in Irving, the daughter of C.L. and Bertha Littlepage, a pioneer family of Texas. Two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. She spent most of her life in Dallas. Perry was born March 3, 1918, to Franklin Perry Elliott II and Rosa Elliott in San Angelo. They preceded him in death. A loving, caring and God-fearing man are only a few attributes to describe Perry. He loved his family and all of God's creations. Animals and children flocked to him. Perry was a veteran of World War II, a teacher for 44 years in the Texas school system and a member of the Northside Church of Christ. He was adored by his students because he always strove to help them do their best, whatever that might be. Perry never met a stranger and was always there to lend a helping hand to those who needed him. He will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him and by his family. Jack was born June 12, 1922, to Carl Mercer and Georgia Pearl Jenkins in Gorman, Texas, in Eastland County. They preceded him in death. He received his nickname ``Red'' at a very early age and lived up to it all the rest of his life. He loved growing up in West Texas with all of his family and friends. After his father's death, he moved with his mother, sister and brothers to San Angelo, where he began his ``career'' in the grocery business delivering for Little Wizard Grocery on Main Street. He attended San Angelo Schools, and graduated from San Angelo Central High School in 1941. He attended San Angelo College, but gave it up when he joined the U.S. Marines in the fall of 1941. While in the service, Red became a rifle instructor, serving with the 4th Regiment of the 6th Division of the Marine Raiders. After the war, Red went to work for Modern Way Food Store on Main Street. He married the love of his life, Viola Janca, on Feb. 11, 1950. Their home was always a meeting place for their beloved family and many friends. He continued to work for Modern Way for 27 years. He also managed stores in San Angelo for Buddies, Winn Dixie and Albertson's, where he ended his 55 year calendar in the grocery business in 1988. Red also took his civic responsibilities very seriously. His longtime affiliation with the West Texas Boys Ranch was a very special part of his life. Red was also preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Lenz; and two brothers, Norman Jenkins and Bobby Jenkins. He is survived by his wife, Viola Jenkins of the home; one daughter, Wanda Leah Holik and her husband, David, of Wall; two sons, Billy Jack Jenkins of San Angelo and Bruce Wayne Jenkins and his wife, Patti, of Midland; ten grandchildren, Erik, Simon and Adam Holik, all of Wall, Nicole Jenkins of Lubbock, Nathan Jenkins of Austin, Jessica and Chase Jenkins, both of Wall, Travis Jenkins and his wife, Linda, of Abilene, Natalie Jenkins of Lubbock and Alicia Jenkins of Midland; two great-grandchildren, Michael Ray and Justin Lee Jenkins, both of Abilene; and one brother, Raymond Jenkins and his wife, Ruth, of Midland.
