Entombment will be in the Calvary Garden Mausoleum. Robert was born April 4, 1925, in Bell County, Texas. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of World War II. He served in Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima. Robert married Magdalene Fischer on Aug. 3, 1946, in Ballinger. He was retired from the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation. Mr. Harris served many years as a cook for the OS Ranch Steer Roping to benefit the boys at West Texas Boys Ranch. He had been a resident of San Angelo for 47 years. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Sellars; brothers, Howard, Homer, Archie and George; a sister, Inez Clay; and his parents, George and Josie Harris. Survivors include his wife, Magdalene ``Mickey'' Harris of San Angelo; children, Marion Kay Olin and fiance, Dennis Jurecek, Barbara Scranton and husband, Pat, Patti Harris, Beth Tucker and husband, Larry, and Robert Harris Jr. and wife, Kathleen, all of San Angelo; two brothers, Lee Harris of San Angelo and H.L. Born June 2, 1921, in San Saba to Marion Gerrells Richardson and Louis Richardson, Louise, as everyone called her, enjoyed a great childhood. She could tell some wonderful stories of her younger years with her family which include, one older brother, Gerald Richardson and one younger sister, Janee Trybyswezski, both residents of Austin. Louise graduated from San Saba High School and then substituted for a rural school. She moved to Brownwood where she was in sales until she married. She was a member of the Church of Christ. While in high school she held the title of Miss San Saba County for two years and was runner-up for Miss Texas in 1937. She received a scholarship to attend Casa Blanca Theater in Dallas. While married she worked as a homemaker and a special mom. Louise was married to Charles C. Lacy of Brownwood and together they had one son, Charles C. Lacy Jr. of Alajuela, Costa Rica. Charles was killed at the Battle of the Bulge during World War II. She remarried in 1945 to Charles' brother, Jimmie W. Lacy. They had two daughters and two sons, Jim Lacy Jr. of Christoval, Garvin ``Hank'' Lacy of Kerrville, Janee Finley of Eldorado and Andrea Lea Stark of Katy. She has been blessed with 19 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each one having a special place in her heart. She will have another great-grandchild in November. Born June 2, 1921, in San Saba to Marion Gerrells Richardson and Louis Richardson, Louise, as everyone called her, enjoyed a great childhood. She could tell some wonderful stories of her younger years with her family, which includes one older brother, Gerald Richardson, and one younger sister, Janee Trybyswezski, both residents of Austin. Louise graduated from San Saba High School and then substituted for a rural school. She moved to Brownwood, where she was in sales until she married. She was a member of the Church of Christ. While in high school, she held the title of Miss San Saba County for two years and was runner-up for Miss Texas in 1937. She received a scholarship to attend Casa Blanca Theater in Dallas. While married, she worked as a homemaker and a special mom. Louise was married to Charles C. Lacy of Brownwood, and together they had one son, Charles C. Lacy Jr. of Alajuela, Costa Rica. Charles was killed at the Battle of the Bulge during World War II. She remarried in 1945 to Charles' brother, Jimmie W. Lacy. They had two daughters and two sons, Jim Lacy Jr. of Christoval, Garvin ``Hank'' Lacy of Kerrville, Janee Finley of Eldorado and Andrea Lea Stark of Katy. She was blessed with 19 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each one having a special place in her heart. Another great-grandchild is expected in November. Louise was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands. Aside from her loving family, Marion Louise Richardson Lacy ``Woo,'' will be missed by her many special friends. God's blessings are with you, Mom. Your patience, love and strengths will abide with us always. OLA MAE SHIELDS HUTTON Mrs. Ola Mae Shields Hutton of San Angelo died Saturday, Oct. 4, 1997, at home. She was 75 years old. Ola Mae was born May 9, 1922, in Rosebud, Texas, to the parentage of Harry Shields Sr. and Corine Banks Shields. She had been a resident of San Angelo for more than 50 years. Before moving to San Angelo, Ola Mae worked in Big Spring at a local nursing home as a cook. She later returned to San Angelo to become a homemaker, devoted mother, grandmother and aunt. She was a faithful member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church for four years, where she remained until her passing. Those left behind to mourn her passing: one son, John L. Hutton of San Angelo; two daughters, Brenda Allen of San Angelo and Patricia J. Steen of Dallas; one sister, Modette Shields of San Angelo; a special sister-in-law, Ruthie Shields of San Angelo; one special brother-in-law, the Rev. Floyd Green of Big Spring; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Johnnie began her long teaching career at the former one- and two-room schoolhouses in Tom Green and Runnels counties. Her 46-year teaching span included the Byrd School near Veribest, the Concho School, Hagan School near Ballinger, Mereta, Miles, and 26 years at Franklin Junior High School in Abilene where she consistently had the best Spanish class in the city. Johnnie retired in 1973. She became active in the Miles Senior Citizens Center and the Miles Baptist Church. She is survived by her sister, Norene Morgan, and a host of cousins and friends. DAVID L. MAYRAND David L. Mayrand passed away Monday, Oct. 13, 1997, in Columbia Medical Center. He was born Aug. 10, 1928, to Bernice and Ray Mayrand in Fond-du-lac, Wis. He graduated from St. Mary's Springs Academy and attended Marquette University in Milwaukee. He served as the finance officer for the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Angelo since 1970, in addition to operating his own business, David L. Mayrand & Associates, and treasurer of Robert Massie Funeral Home Inc. He was a member of Holy Angels parish and had served as a member of the Parish Council and Angelo Catholic School board. He was named a Papal Knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem in 1983. David is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Kathleen, and his daughters, Karen Mayrand and Dr. Leslie Mayrand, all of San Angelo; his beloved grandchildren, Kathleen Hutton and David Taylor; a sister, Mary Wempner of Fond-du-lac and her children, Scott and Anne. David will also be remembered by many friends and colleagues. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Columbia Medical Center, especially Mike Wood and the nurses in ICU and the rehabilitation unit.
