Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, in Rains-Seale Funeral Home Chapel. Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Hugh Wade of St. Mary's Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow in Latin-American Cemetery. Michael was born Sept. 26, 1961, in Ballinger. He worked as a printer for Western Posters of San Angelo and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ballinger. RAYMOND `PAPPY' WADE BALLINGER - Raymond ``Pappy'' Wade, 72, of Ballinger passed away on Saturday morning, Jan. 22, 2000, in his home. He was born Feb. 11, 1927, in the Blanton Community near Ballinger to Hilliard E. and Myrtle Pearl Davis Wade. He attended school in Blanton. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a captain's aide. He worked in the oilfields as a pusher for 20 years before he began work for the City of Ballinger water plant. He retired from the city and spent the rest of his time farming and ranching. Raymond married Janie Lacy on Nov. 20, 1948, in Ballinger. They attended the First Baptist Church in Ballinger. Raymond ``Pappy'' is survived by his wife, Janie, two daughters, Janett Dankworth and her husband, John, and Abie Williams, all of Ballinger; five grandsons, John Raymond, Joe and Juston Dankworth and Timothy and Wade Williams; one granddaughter, Lindsey Williams; two brothers, William Wade and his wife, Christine, of Ballinger and Elwood Wade and his wife, Virgie, of Winters; a brother-in-law, Harold Lacy and his wife, Marlena; four sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Lacy, Dorothy Salvato, Lynn Holbrook and her husband, Arby, and Nellie Murphy and her husband, Dan. He also is survived by several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Heidi Hethcock; his coffee shop buddies and a host of other family and friends. Service will be at 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bo Keithley and the Rev. Ferris Akins officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Runnels Cemetery. JOE H. McCREERY Joe H. McCreery, 64, of San Angelo died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at his residence. Military graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24, in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dan Williams officiating. Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home. Joe was born Oct. 21, 1935, in San Angelo to Thomas H. and Fay McCreery. He was preceded in death by his father and a son, Joe H. McCreery Jr. on March 23, 1998. Joe retired on July 30, 1980, after 26 years of service in the U.S. Navy. He worked for Mitsubishi Aircraft, drove a school bus for SAISD and was currently employed by Johnson's Funeral Home. Joe was married to Metitia Fay Sharp on May 31, 1958, in Midland. Survivors include his wife, Metitia McCreery of San Angelo; two sons, Cecil Coy McCreery and wife, Stephanie, of Richmond and Gary Dean McCreery and wife, Elaine, of San Angelo; his mother, Fay McCreery of San Angelo; two brothers, Jack McCreery and wife, Lois, of San Angelo and James McCreery and wife, Margie, of Bonham; one sister, Judy Benham and husband, Michael, of Littleton, Colo.; two grandchildren, Amber and Heather McCreery of Richmond; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
