Gonzales, 90, of San Angelo died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, in a local hospital. Vigil service will be at 6 p.m. today in Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Joe Vasquez officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. He was born Aug. 8, 1909, in Estacion De Catorce, San Luis, Potosi, Mexico, and had been a resident of San Angelo since 1972. He was a farmer, rancher and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors include five sons, Tiburcio C. Gonzales of Hereford, Juan C. Gonzales and Mario C. Gonzales, both of Del Valle, and Norberto C. Gonzales II and Javier C. She was born Feb. 16, 1917, in Roby and had been a longtime resident of Rankin. She was employed by Rankin Independent School District. Corrine Gordon of Dallas and Quanah Gordon of Talpa. Elmira Boyd OZONA - Elmira ``Monnie'' Boyd, 91, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, in a local care center. She was born Feb. 26, 1908, in Thurber and had been a resident of Ozona for 40 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Mary Lemmer LLANO - Mary ``June'' Lemmer, 83, of Llano died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, in Austin. She was born Sept. 12, 1916, in Coleman County and had been a resident of Llano since 1973. She was a beautician and owned a ceramic shop and was a member of Trinity Methodist Church. Nina Camp BIG SPRING - Nina Camp, 92, of Odessa and formerly of Forsan, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, in an Odessa nursing home. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Trinity Memorial Park. Myrtle Osborn ODESSA - Myrtle Myrlene Osborn, 75, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, in a local hospital. Earnest Ussery KINGSLAND - Earnest Burl ``Chalk'' Ussery, 70, of Buchanan Dam died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, at his residence. He was born Nov. 5, 1929, in Sweetwater and had been a longtime resident of Buchanan Dam. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he worked in concrete construction and was a member of the American Legion. She was born July 19, 1916, in Shawnee, Okla. She was an artist and clerk in the Coleman County Agriculture and Stabilization Office and was a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Presbyterian Church. SOTO Segundo G. Soto, loving husband, father and grandfather went to be with the Lord Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000, after a lengthy illness. He will be missed by all who knew him as a friend, storyteller and jokester. He always had time for everyone and enjoyed a good gathering. We appreciate the staff at the Big Spring Veterans Hospital for the care he received and numerous friends and family who visited him, The Helping Hands and Nellie Balderas. Drones, 65, of Crane died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000, in the North Texas Health Care Veterans Administration Hospital in Dallas. Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at the First Baptist Church of Crane with the Rev. J.M. Jeffery officiating. The Rev. H.A. Box Funeral Home. He was born Jan. 14, 1935, in Marlin. He attended public school in San Angelo. He worked for Ruthco as an oilfield worker for many years. He opened Triple J Bar-B-Que in January 1976. As a result of health problems, he was forced to close the business in May 1999. He was preceded in death by his father, A.Z. Drones; and his sister, Effie Lee Drones. EXA GUESS Exa Gwendene Guess passed away Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, in Baptist Memorials Geriatric Center. Service will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be the Rev. James Mitchell, pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church. Gwen was born July 25, 1921, in Tulia, Texas, to George and Cynthia Blevins. She had been a resident of San Angelo since 1958. Her years of employment with Montgomery Ward and Preston Milk Stores provided her many opportunities to meet people and make friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pete Guess; a brother, Galen Blevins; and a son, John Plaster. Survivors include her daughter, Janice Farris and husband, Dub, and a brother, Steve Blevins and wife, Leona, all of San Angelo; and three grandchildren, Brad Farris of Portland, Ore., Cindy Farris of Denton and Brian Plaster of Seattle. ANNA ROSE GILLIT SONORA - Anna Rose Gillit, 59, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, in a San Antonio hospital. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at the First Baptist Church in Sonora with Jim Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in Sonora Cemetery. Arrangements are by Kerbow Funeral Home. Born Anna Rose Glasscock on Jan. 30, 1941, she was the daughter of Herbert Edgar and Maggie Stuart Glasscock. Anna Rose descended from one of the pioneer families of Texas. Joseph Milligan Glasscock and his brother arrived in Texas in 1836 to help Texas gain its independence from Mexico. Anna Rose's great-great-grandfather, Joseph Abner Glasscock fought for the Confederacy and brought his family to Sonora in 1889. Her great-grandfather and grandfather, William Andrew and William Edgar Glasscock, were successful ranchers in Sutton County. Anna Rose attended Sonora schools and was very active in 4-H during her youth. She won several awards showing her registered Delaine sheep at shows throughout Texas. She married Billy D. Gillit in 1958. After Billy was killed in an oilfield accident in Libya, Anna Rose attended and graduated from Abilene Business College in 1970. She returned to Sonora and worked for the Sutton County Sheriff's Department until 1995. Anna Rose was one of the first 9-1-1 qualified dispatchers in Sutton County. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy D. Gillit and her parents. Anna Rose is survived by a son and his wife, Randy and Pat Gillit of Sonora; a daughter and granddaughter, Paula and Sara Gillit of Sonora; a brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Nancy Glasscock of Boerne; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
