Bubba was a tower technician. He was full of love and laughter, living life to its fullest. He was a blessing and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mrs. McCleery was born Aug. 15, 1911, in Hico to Marion and Abbie Belle Seale McElroy. She married Russell McCleery Sept. 2, 1933, in Duffau. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell McCleery; and a son, Billy W. McCleery. HENRY CHAVEZ BOISSE Henry Chavez Boisse, who spent most of his life in San Angelo, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, at age 88. A native of Tankersley, he owned and operated the Blue Bird Grocery on Ben Ficklin Road for many years. Mr. Boisse worked in construction during the building of Mathis Field. In the 1950s, he worked as a labor contractor, taking crews to various locations. He also was involved in other small businesses before going to work for the city of San Angelo. In later years he was an independent businessman. He was born Dec. 11, 1911, to Leon and Julia Boisse. The elder Boisse was a native of France and operated a neighborhood market for many years on Avenue L. He was a member of Assembly of God Church for many years. He had many friends and acquaintances throughout West Texas and Coahuila, Mexico. He was preceded in death by Simona L. Boisse, his wife of 47 years, in 1994. Graveside service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14, in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Burl Rogers, associate pastor of Word of Life Assembly of God Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home. Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Edward L. Boisse of Springfield, Mo., and Fidel L. and Carmen Garcia of Del Rio; three daughters and sons-in-law, Eunice and Paul Montelongo of San Angelo, Erlinda and Paul Allen of Tucson and Inez Sease of Albuquerque, N.M.; two brothers, Joe and Ernest Boisse of San Angelo; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
