Survivors include a daughter, Ann Duncan of Big Spring; a sister, Mary Langren of Tucson, Ariz.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. _________________________________________________________________ Obituaries EDITH LUCILE ROBINSON Edith Lucile Robinson died Monday, March 27, 2000, in San Angelo at the age of 103. She was born Nov. 22, 1896. Lucile was a member of the College Hills Baptist Church and one of her favorite scriptures for life was Psalm 119: ``Order my steps according to your word and let not iniquity have dominion over me.'' She began college with a Yantis scholarship at Howard Payne Junior College in 1912. Later she transferred to Hardin-Simmons University and received her bachelor of arts degree in Latin in 1915. She later received her master's degree from the University of Colorado in bank portfolio management. Lucile taught 45 years in rural, city, college and university schools. Lucile was the author of several published books including ``Family Trails'' and ``Autobiography of Edith Lucile Robinson.'' She donated several items to the French Legation in Austin, including copies of ``Family Trails.'' In 1982 she received the coveted Mamie Wynne Cox Daughters of the Republic of Texas Historical Research Award for her essay titled ``Jewish Soldiers and Sailors in the Texas Revolution.'' In 1994 she was selected as a ``Concho Pearl'' in a book published by the San Angelo John Glenn Junior High School. She was interviewed by Celeste Pharr. She was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and Daughters of the American Revolution. Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, in the Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche with the Rev. Lakan Mariano officiating. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home. PAULINE GILLILAND PATTERSON Pauline Gilliland Patterson was born Dec. 14, 1906, in Tioga and went to be with her Lord on March 27, 2000. She lived in Dallas and graduated from Baylor University in 1928 with a B.A. and Southwestern Baptist Seminary with a M.R.E. where she was the recipient of the Stella P. Ross award for excellence in New Testament studies. She taught one year in a one-room school on the Britt Ranch, Wheeler and two years in high schools in Louisiana. She married Frank W. Patterson, Sept. 7, 1933. Served in churches where he was pastor until 1939 when she and her husband were appointed missionaries of the Foreign Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, to serve in the Baptist Spanish Publishing House until retirement in 1972. At the Baptist Spanish Publishing House she was editor of juvenile Sunday school materials and wrote numerous children's books in Spanish. She also wrote ``Walk Eddie,'' a mission study book in English for children. While residing in El Paso she started a Mission in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, which became the Maranatha Baptist Church. In 1980 she taught elementary education courses at the Mexican Baptist Seminary in Mexico City. The following year she was a librarian for the Lacy Theological Seminary in Oaxaca, Mexico. She is survived by her husband of 67 years; her two sons, Burton H,. Patterson of Colleyville and Donald R. Aldridge of Midland; two brothers, Fred Gilliland and Burton Gilliland of Dallas; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. O.C. was born April 18, 1916, in Winters to George and Anzo Pruitt Davis. He was married to Geraldine Carlton Davis on Oct. 30, 1937, in Ballinger. After working in Dallas and Carlsbad, N.M., O.C. retired as a master machinist in 1976 in Houston and returned with his wife to Ballinger. They moved to San Angelo in 1984. He was a faithful and devoted member of the Church of Christ all of his life.
