Richie was born March 3, 1958, to Gail L. and Maudell Surber Wood in Brady, Texas. His mother preceded him in death. He married Juanita (Nita) Williams on July 28, 1979, in Eden. He was a crew chief for the Texas Highway Department. Richie was a very active member of Belmore Baptist Church, teaching Sunday school to first and second graders. Johnsons Funeral Home ROBERT CLAY BEARDEN III COLLEYVILLE Robert Clay Bearden III, 56, of Colleyville, Texas, died on Friday, Oct. 12, 2001, at his home. Robert was born Dec. 28, 1944, to Robert C. Jr. and Drusilla Jones Bearden. He married Gay Luckie in 1981. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Suzanne Bearden. He was a graduate of Midland High School and attended Texas A&M University. He was a graduate of Sul Ross University in 1967 with a bachelors degree majoring in art. He was a recipient of a Braniff Art Scholarship. He received an M.B.A. degree with a major in administration from Texas A&M University at Prairie View. Bob was a teacher for the Dallas Independent School District for 28 years until his death. At South Oak Cliff High School where he taught for 10 years, he was awarded Teacher of the Year and received many other awards in recognition of his service over that 10 years. Bob was an avid hunter, shooter and student of American history and politics. He was a gifted maker of pottery and jewelry and was a gourmet cook among his many talents and interests. His mechanical talents included gun-smithing, maintenance, repair and restoration of exotic automobiles, motorcycles and to his home. Survivors include his wife, Gay Luckie Bearden of Colleyville; his parents, Robert C. Jr. and Drusilla J. Bearden of San Angelo; twin daughters, Mecca Martha Bearden and Hayden Hannah Bearden of Decatur and Rachel Catherine Bearden of the home; uncle and aunt, Dudley and Joyce Penny of Linden and aunt, Mildred Sandel of Dallas; and many cousins. Craig Meyers officiating. Anne was born March 9, 1928, in Abilene, Texas, to Henry H. Batjer Sr. and Gertrude Ross Batjer. She attended school in San Angelo and graduated from college in Gulf Park, Miss. She was married to R. Bernard Trimble in 1955 in San Angelo, where they lived until Bernards death in 1984. Burial will be in Park Memorial Cemetery in Kansas City, Mo. Ben was born May 3, 1929, in Richmond, Ray County, Mo. He was a graduate of Richmond High School. From the time he was a Boy Scout he had a love for flying, eventually becoming a command pilot for Mid-Continent Airlines before joining the Army Air Corps. Airman Keel trained at Mathis, Lackland and Goodfellow fields before receiving his aviators wings. After being commissioned into the Officers Corps while training in San Angelo, he married Carlene Nutt on July 1, 1950, in Carlsbad, N.M. They settled in the San Angelo area where they owned ranch and farm land in Irion and Schleicher counties. He was a veteran of the Korean War where he flew B-29s. Bens one great passion was always flying, but he also did many other things, including insurance, ranching, television and manufacturing of gourmet food items. Through his years in San Angelo, he flew for Producers Livestock Auction and his own company, Tex Air International Inc. He was a member of Eldorado Lodge 890 AF&AM and First Baptist Church of Eldorado. Ben was preceded in death by his mother, Lou Emma Jones; and his wife, Carlene Nutt Keel. He is survived by his son, Richard Keel and wife, Marie, of Savoy, Ill.; special friends, Tracy Emery of Rankin and Todd Emery of San Angelo; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was born Aug. 2, 1928, near Brandon in Hill County, Texas, the youngest son of Ben G. and Elsie Lehde Rosentreter. In 1943, the family moved to Carlsbad at Sanatorium, Texas, where he worked. In 1949 he joined the Army and served during the Korean War. He received the Bronze Star for meritorious achievement. He then finished his military duty by serving in the Army Security Agency. In 1953 he worked for Crow Packing Co. in San Angelo as a butcher. He moved to Fort Worth in 1956 and retired from Kroger Grocers in 1992. He married Dorthy Moore Jackson in 1961 in Fort Worth. Survivors are his wife, Dorthy Rosentreter of Hurst; sons, Larry Scott Jackson Rosentreter of Watauga and Larry Don Jackson of Granbury; daughter, Janet Jackson Wiggins Snyder of Reno, Nev.; brother, Ben Rosentreter of La Vaca County; sisters, Floy Maberry of Midland, Gladys Shaw of San Angelo and Ruby Smith of Possum Kingdom Lake and Haltom City. McDoniel, 71, of San Saba, Texas, passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, in Austin, Texas. He was born July 2, 1930, in San Saba, the son of Warren McDoniel and Clota B. Owen McDoniel. He lived most of his life in San Saba, where he was a member of the First United Methodist Church. B.C. played football in college and in the Air Force and was well known throughout the state for his athletic abilities and received numerous awards. He graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a degree in agriculture education and served four years in the United States Air Force. He was county school superintendent for a number of years and continued his career by teaching in the classroom until his retirement in 1992. After his retirement, he pursued other business interests. He loved being in the outdoors in Gods country, as he called it. He loved hunting and fishing with his many friends and family. Most of all, he enjoyed driving and knew the county roads (back roads) of San Saba and Llano counties. He is survived by his three children, Jim (Jaimi) McDoniel of Cherokee, Martha McDoniel and her husband, James Cawthon, of Austin, and Lisa McDoniel Schmidt and her husband, Ronnie Schmidt, of Austin; two grandsons, Zach Schmidt and Billy James Cawthon, both of Austin; great-aunt, Irene Moore of Dickenson; and cousins, Patricia Warren and her husband, Henry, of San Saba and Owen Renfro and his wife, Shari, of Sanford, N.C. She received a bachelors degree in mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin. She married Dale Reed Railsback on June 12, 1945. They moved to the San Angelo area after World War II. Former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in San Angelo and Blanco, she was a retired high school mathematics teacher in San Angelo and San Antonio. She moved to LaGrange in 1999 to be near her daughter after living a number of years in Blanco. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Minnie Lindgren Kron and her husband, Dale. Chester was born Nov. 6, 1915, in Bronte, to Raymond H. Ivey and Amma Jane Whitaker. He married Lillie Opal Bledsoe on Sept. 18, 1933, in Shamrock, Texas. He worked with WTU for 42 years, first as a lineman. He was the first to work on refrigerator units in Western United States and became district sales manager. He belonged to the Lions Club in Marfa, Texas, and was president of the club for three years. Chester had a passion for hunting and fishing. After a short retirement, he spent 11 years as a rancher in Kimble County. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife of 68 years, Lillie Opal Ivey of London; two daughters, Gloria Mae Pool of Big Lake and Diana Sue Knight of Ennis, Texas; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Ray Ivey of Mertzon; and one uncle, Cumbie Ivey of Robert Lee.
