Its time. Everyones waiting for you. His Lord said unto him, well done thou good and faithful servant. Thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord. Matthew 25:21. Raymond Lee Allison was born April 7, 1928, to B.E. and Ethel Allison in Chillicothe, Texas, and departed this earthly existence Dec. 27, 2001, to join his heavenly Father and his Savior Jesus Christ. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was dearly loved and respected by his family and friends. He walked every minute of his life in the grace of God and he shared it with everyone he came in contact with. He was famous for his sense of humor and his jokes. One of his first jokes and one he told many times was, Why did Santa raise a garden? So he could practice his Ho! Ho! Ho! He had many loves in his life. He loved being called The Boss by his son Glenn and they became close over the last two years, talking and playing dominos. He loved good food. He said many times that his mother-in-law, Sally Mae, knew the way to his heart and that was through her cooking. He loved fishing with his children, grandchildren and friends. He also loved gardening and working in his yard. His greatest love perhaps was his Bible. He read it daily from the time he was a small child and just about had it memorized. He could quote it for any need or occasion, and always left you with I love you and Jesus loves you. At this time, while we love him and will miss him greatly, we rejoice and celebrate his life and his return back to the presence of his Father in Heaven. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nanetta Allison; his sons, Glenn Allison and wife, Cathy, of San Angelo and Kelly Allison and wife, Carrie, of The Colony; daughters, Lori Judnick and husband Michael of Gardnerville, Nev., and Cynthia Nunn and husband Wesley, of San Angelo. He had nine grandchildren, Heidi, Heather and Hannah Allison of San Angelo, Jeremy Jewell of Gardnerville, Nev., Sarah Jewell of San Angelo, Kristin, Michael and Austin Starnes, all of The Colony, and William Nunn II of Austin. He has two great-grandchildren, Shawn Jewell and Serena Christensen, both of San Angelo. He also has three surviving brothers, H.D. Allison and wife, Faye, of Maybank, Bobby and wife, Ida Allison, of Chandler, Elbert and wife, Tootsie, of Baytown; and one sister, Myrtle Staples and husband, Rufus, of Tyler. He is also survived by two brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law, many nephews and nieces, and countless brothers and sisters in Christ.
