Merry was born Jan. 6, 1931, in Elida, Roosevelt County, N.M., to Nelson and Alice Rose. Merry married James Dink Sanders May 8, 1948. They lived in San Angelo where they owned and operated Modern Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning for many years. They were known for their love of horses. They moved to Water Valley where they bred, raised and trained Quarter horses for race and show. She was a member of the San Angelo Saddle Club where she served as secretary, treasurer and horse show chairwoman numerous times. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice Rose Cade and Nelson Rose, her beloved brother, Thomas and her husband of 49 years, J. S. Dink. Survivors are son, Robert Sanders of Water Valley; daughter, Suzy Taylor and husband, Raymond Sr., of San Angelo; brothers, C.H. Robert Massie Funeral Home MARIA ENRIQUETA NANDIN Maria Enriqueta Nandin, 61, of San Angelo died Saturday, March 30, 2002, at her residence. Prayer service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 31, in Johnsons Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 1, at Word of Life Church with the Rev. David Smith, the Rev. Jose Alvarez, and the Rev. Burl Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Maria was born Aug. 5, 1940, in Zaragoza, Mexico. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker. Mrs. Nandin was preceded in death by his parents, Nemecio and Eulalia Alvarez; a son, Nemecio J. Nandin; a sister, Angelita Vallejo; and a brother, Raul Alvarez and Agapito Alvarez. Survivors include four daughters, Alma Camarillo, Gloria Rios, Sally Ruiz and Belia Gonzalez; two sons, Abel Nandin and Evelio Nandin Jr.; 16 grandchildren; and brother, Rudolfo Alvarez.
