She was also a longtime employee of the San Angelo State School and had been retired since 1985. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4 in the Grape Creek Cemetery. The family would like to thank VistaCare Hospice and especially Tanya Swafford for their love and care. To Those I Love and Those Who Love Me When I am gone, release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do. You musn't tie yourself to me with tears. Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love, you can only guess. How much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you have shown. But now its time I travel alone. Grieve awhile for me, if grieve you must. Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for awhile that we must part. So bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on. So if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near. And if you listen with your heart, you will hear All my love around you soft and clear. I'll greet you with a smile and welcome you home. O PRATER POWELL Johnson-Moore Funeral Home DENISON - O. SUANNE MURPHY (SAM) QUISENBERRY Putnam Funeral Home KINGSLAND - Suanne Murphy (Sam) Quisenberry was called to her Lord Saturday, May 31, 2003, after a long fight with cancer. If you are reading this to find out about someone who died, you are reading the wrong story. This is a story about someone who lived. Suanne loved life and lived it to the fullest. From Middletown, Conn., where she was born on Christmas Eve 1967, to the Sea of Cortez, to the rain forests of Costa Rica, to wherever Jimmy Buffet was playing and as often in her garden as from the back of a Harley or under the sea in full scuba gear, Sam planted seeds of love and respect wherever she went. Those seeds continue to grow in the hearts and lives of her family and friends and in all the people she touched. A 1985 graduate of Memorial High School in McAllen, Texas, Suanne married her husband, Larry Quisenberry, Sept. 30, 1995, in Amarillo, Texas, and they happily shared their love for adventure for eight wonderful years. Building a house and home with Larry in Florence, Texas, Suanne was as comfortable with the house framing as she was sewing her own dresses, both of which she did with the skill and determination of a true craftsman. Suanne shared her love for God's creation with Larry, teaching him how to appreciate a Texas sunset, as well as a rainy day, just for the beauty they held. Suanne (Sam) will continue to live in the hearts and memories of her family and friends and will be remembered for her infectious laugh and a radiant smile that was often accompanied by a very mischievous wink. Suanne was preceded in death by her father, George Murphy. She is survived by her husband, Larry Quisenberry of Florence, Texas; her mother, Jane L'Hommedieu of Araphaho, N.C.; two brothers, Danny and Jimmy; one sister, Amy; many nieces and nephews; and enough friends to fill a Texas high school football stadium on a fall Friday night. Her light in the world will be missed by all. A memorial service will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, at CrossPointe Church, 5703 McNeil Drive, Austin, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to either MD Anderson Cancer Center of Houston, Texas, or VistaCare Hospice of Temple, Texas. H D WEHRLEY H.D. Wehrley was born September 10, 1909, in Aline, Oklahoma. He passed away May 13, 2003 at Shannon Hospital in San Angelo. He was 93 years old. H.D. Wehrley and his wife, Lorraine, and daughter Betty moved to San Angelo in 1947 from Wichita Falls. He opened the office here for Dowell, Inc. and managed their operation until he retired in 1964. After that, he and Walter Tucker formed San Angelo Pipe & Salvage to supply equipment for the oil industry. He was active in the First Christian Church and the Masons. He and Lorraine later bought a small motel in Coleman. He became active in the First Christian Church there, and enjoyed their new friends and singing in the choir. They then moved to Houston to be near their family. Family was always the most important thing to him. After he lost Lorraine in 1997, he stayed on in Houston until 2000, then moved back to San Angelo when his daughter and son-in-law returned here. He lived in Rio Concho Terrace where he enjoyed the activities and many friends there. H.D. enjoyed fishing, gardening, restoring antique furniture, carving miniature furniture, and creating beautiful boxes and lovely crosses of inlaid wood. Wehrley was always working on a project. His latest endeavor was the writing of his autobiography for the family. In it, he recalled many of the stories about his childhood on a farm in the Texas Panhandle, as a young man working his way through the Great Depression, and his career alongside the love of his life, Lorraine. He stated that he hoped to leave a legacy of honesty and good will, and that he would like to be remembered with love and affection. He did leave that legacy, and he will most assuredly be remembered this way. Survivors are daughter, Betty McCarley; son-in-law, Pat McCarley; grandchildren, Laura McCarley and husband Lee Pilz of Austin, Pat McCarley II and wife Chris, Houston, and Jaime McCarley, Houston; great-grandchildren, Erica McCarley, Matthew McCarley, Lana McCarley, and Blake McCarley, and a sister, Mrs. Walter Jackson of Rio Linda, California. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 31, at Rio Concho East Terrace at 2:30 P.M.
