He was born in Menard on Nov. 2, 1933 to Rex and Lillie Bell Halydier. He moved with his family to Ozona when he was 5 years old and graduated Ozona High School in 1951. His career with Ozona National Bank began in 1956 where he worked for 38 years, and retired as assistant vice president in October 1994 Bobby’s time with the bank was interrupted for two years service with the U.S. Army in Germany from 1958-1960, and again for 10 months in 1961-62 when he 'was recalled during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He and his wife moved to Spring Creek near Mertzon in 1977. He married Shirley Ann Harris in Ozona on Sep 3, 1960. A son Michael Gene Halydier, was born in Jul 1964; and a daughter, Susan Kay was born in February 1970. His father, Rex was a Crockett Co. commissioner and businessman, preceded him in death in March 1967. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mertzon. He is survived by wife Shirley, his son Michael (Lynne) of Dallas his daughter. Susan of the home, his. mother. Lillie Bell of Orzona, his brotheir J R (Bess) Halydier of San Antonio, his brother in law, Jack (Joleta)Harris of Big Lake, two nephews and two nieces. Service Jan. 8, at the First Baptist Church.
