His many friends at his old home place will have much regret. His brother,_______ Gilpin, of Union City, Ga. had been with him for several weeks, till the end came. They accompanied by Mrs. Gilpin and little _____ expected here soon. T.P. _____ has real estate here to look _____. (Part of paper is missing) Later report - Bro. B.F. Gilpin was born Jan. 19, 1857, and died June 14, 1908, being 51 years, 4 months, and 25 days. He obeyed the gospel at old White Oak Church in the Summer of 1883 in Hopkins County under the preaching of N.G. Murphy. He was deacon of the Church of Christ at Mars Hill, Texas, for quite a long while, and at the time of his death, was one of the elders of the Church of Christ at Sabinal, Texas. He and his wife were united in the holy bonds of matrimony March 4, 1884, having been married 24 years the 4th day of last March. They have one child, little Odus, who still survives him. (S.S.
