McBee as assessed against him for the year 1876, upon the following described tract or parcel of land (viz.) Thirty Seven acres of land of the W. H. McBee Headright abstract 325, situated on McBee Creek about twenty miles North West of the Town of Canton in Van Zandt County, which amounted to the sum of ($3.37) Three Dollars and thirty seven cents as appears from the Tax Roll of the Said County for the year 1876, and whereas the time provided by law for the payment of said taxes having expired and though demanded of the Said J. G. McBee by Proper Legal Notice the same remaining unpaid. J.R. Wells, Tax-Collector of Van Zandt County in compliance with the Law and by virtue of the Tax Roll aforesaid , Levied upon and seized certain tract of land as belonging to the said J.G. McBee and herein after described to be sold, to make the Said amount of Said Taxes yet unpaid together with cost accrued and have advertised the said lands in the manner and for the time required by law and whereas in pursuance with the Said advertisement I did offer Said Lands for sale, at Public Auction at the time, place and in the manner required by Law. When Henry Fuller bid the Sum of Nine Dollars and thirty seven cents for Thirty Seven acres of said land , which Sum being sufficient to make the Said amount of Said Unpaid Taxes together with Two Dollars and fifty cents penalties due and Three Dollars and fifty cents cost accrued thereon and the least of this deed which being the highest and last bid offered for the least number of acres of said land the same was Struck off to him the Said Henry Fuller. Now therefore for and in consideration of the Sum of Nine Dollars and thirty seven cents to me in hand paid the receipt of which I hereby acknowledge, I have by virtue of the Power in me vested by law bargained, sold, transferred and conveyed and by these presents do bargain, sell, transfer and convey unto the Said Henry Fuller his heirs and assigns all the rights, title, interest and Estate which the said J.G.McBee had at the time when the assessment before mentioned was made to the following described tract or parcel of land (viz.) thirty seven acres of land W.H. McBee Headright abstract 325. Situated on McBee Creek about twenty miles North West of Canton, Van Zandt to have and to hold unto him the said Henry Fuller his heirs and assigns the above and foregoing tract of land together with all and singular the rights privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any way appertaining in Fee Simple forever provided; nevertheless that the Said land has been conveyed may be redeemed by the Said J.G. McBee owner or by his heirs or legal representatives within two years from this date in the manner provided by law. Witness my hand and Seal of Office this the third day of December 1878. Signed: R.
