Russell: The State of Texas] County of Van Zandt] Know all men by these presents that We, Thomas White and Emiline White Wife of Thomas White, both of Van Zandt County, and State of Texas, Party of the First Part, for and in consideration of the Sum of ($75.00) Seventy Five Dollars to us paid , have released, sold, and conveyed unto A.O. Russell, Two Acres of land from Block No.1 in Hamilton Survey, of Van Zandt County, and State of Texas, his heirs and assigns forever in Fee Simple, lying and being in a strip beginning a the West corner of No. 1 in James Hamilton Survey, said West corner marked by a stake set in the ground, between Lots Nos. 1 & 2, Said (now ?) being the corners between Thomas White and A.R. Russell and W.J. Penny and M. (Weaver/Reaves ?); Thence, East with the N.E.Line between the Said Thos. White and A.R. Russell; Thence, South 45 degrees East 118-2/10ths vrs to a stake; Thence, (?) the North line of said Lot No.1 to place of Beginning, containing, Two Acres more or less. To have and to hold the same unto the Said A.O. Russell, his heirs and assigns forever and WE do hereby bind Ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators and to warrant and forever defend the same unto the Said A.O.
