White: The State of Texas] County of Van Zandt] Know all men by these presents: That I, Thos. H. White Sr. of the County of Van Zandt and State of Texas, for and in consideration of Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars, to me in hand, paid by William J. White and the further Sum of Five Hundred Dollars to be hereafter paid by said William J. White, in the following manner: $100.00 Dollars to be paid December 16, 1908, and One Hundred Dollars to be paid each succeeding 12 months thereafter until said Five Hundred ($500.00 Dollars) is fully paid, which payments are evidenced by five promissory notes of even dates herewith each for the Sum of One Hundred Dollars and due December 16, 1908; December 16, 1909; December 16, 1910; December 16, 1911; and December 16, 1912, respectively and signed by Said William J White and payable to myself, and to secure payment of which note I hereby retain a Vendor’s Lien on the land, hereafter conveyed, have granted, sold and conveyed, and by these presents, grant bargain sell and convey unto the said W. J. White he and his heirs and assigns forever, the following described tract or parcel of land situated in the County of Van Zandt and State of Texas, and described as follows: Sixty Eight and 6/10ths acres being Block No. 7 of the Elder Carew League and Labor of land and bounded thus: Beginning at the West corner of Block No. 5 on the N.W. Line of said Carew Survey about 2605 varas South 45 degrees West from the North corner of said Original Survey, from which a Hickory bears South 25 degrees East 7/10ths varas and a Black Jack bears North 60 degrees East 10 varas; Thence, South 49 degrees East with the South West line of Said Block No. 5 at 1074-6/10ths varas to the South corner of said block from which a Post Oak bears South 23 degrees 1-3/10ths varas and Post Oak bears North 37 degrees West 6 varas; Thence South 45 degrees West 399 varas to the corner from which a Red Oak bears North 69 degrees East 10-6/10ths varas and a Red Oaks bears South 3 degrees West 8-2/10ths varas; Thence North 45 degrees West 1072 varas to the North corner of Block 3 on the North West line of original Survey from which a Post Oak bears South 73 degrees East 13 varas and a Post Oak bears North 29 degrees East 13-6/10ths varas; Thence, North 45 degrees East 324 varas with the North West Line of Said Carew Survey to the place of Beginning. To have and to hold the above described premises, together with all and singular rights, members, improvements, hereditaments and appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging unto the Said William J. White, his heirs and assigns forever in Fee Simple. And I do hereby bind myself heirs, executors to forever warrant and defend the title to the said premises unto the Said William J.
