Bennatt JR. - EDNA January 13, 2005 EDNA - Benjamin Groce Bennatt Jr., of Edna, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005. He was born Aug. 19, 1922, in Teague, to the late Benjamin Groce Benatt Sr. and Sudie Post. He was a retired Process Operator for Mobil Oil and a member of First United Methodist. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran, serving in the U.S. Army, and a member of the Railslitters Society. Survivors: wife, Miriam "Tia" Patton; daughters, Julianna Jimerson of Victoria, Molly Elaine Bennatt of Lewisville, Miriam Courtney Bennatt of Edna, and Suzanne Dreyer of Port Lavaca; sons, Larry Benjamin Bennatt of Houston and Jared Foster Bennatt of Austin; sister, Sue Evelyn Davis of Houston; brother, Jim Bob Bennatt of Richards; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. tonight at Slavik Funeral home chapel. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, the Rev. Sue Huntsman officiating.
