Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Sheffield Funeral Home. The body will lie in state at the church from 9 to 10:30 a.m. preceding the funeral. Mr. Hobbs, was born Sept. 16, 1890 in Victoria. A retired service man, he was formerly employed at Bill Miller's Food Market for 25 years. Surviving are his wife; a son, the Rev. Thurman D. Jewett of Campionville, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Retta Louis of Victoria and Mrs. Josephine Tisdell of Dallas; and one stepgrandchild.
