W.- Wright,County Judge Your petitioner,Elizabeth Beldin, a citizen of Waller County would show unto your Honor that she is the survivng Widow of Dr. Samuel C. Beldin-that said Samuel C. Beldin was a volunteer Soldier and served in the War between Texas and Mexico in the Army of the Republic of Texas during the year 1836.From about the 1 st March 1836 until the close of the war in Capt. Wm. Logan's Company.That the said Dr. Samuel C. Beldin died in Waller County ( Now Grimes County) on the 17th day of February 1873. That your petitioner was married to the Said Dr. Samuel C. Beldin in Liberty County,Texas and has remained unmarried since the death of said Samuel C. Beldin.That she is in indegent circumstances and has no means sufficiant for a comfortable support.
