Additional Comments:
Born Jack A. Burton on 6 Oct 1840 in Washinton County, TX, the 8th of 11 
children of John M. Burton (22 Mar 1806 - 1877) and Elizabeth Maury Thomson (3 
Jan 1813 - Sep 1871).  He served as a private in Company F, 21st Texas Cavalry 
in the Civil War.  He married Eugenia C. Bryan (1 Oct 1844 - 15 Jul 1920) and 
together they had two children: Jessie and Myra.  He died 12 Jan 1912 in 
Burton, TX and was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery near Burton.
