b. 31 Dec 1936 in Pioneer, Texas to Herschel and Mattie Cooper Elrod. Married 
Bob Cornell on 27 Apr 1956 at Anson, Texas. Died 29 Aug 2015 in Wheeler, Texas. 
Member of 1st Baptist Church in Allison, TX. Worked at KS-NE Gas Co. until 
retirement, then substitute taught at Ft. Elliott Schools. Preceded in death by 
her parents, one granddaughter, Jessica Hefner, and one grandson, Jeremy 
Cornell. Survived by her husband, son William Cornell and wife Vickie of 
Cordell, OK, daughters Beverly (Joe) Smith of Stinnett, TX, Tammy Newman of 
Briscoe, TX, Becky (Tommy) Hefner of Stinnett, Texas, brother George Ray Elrod. 
Services 1 Sep 2015 at 1st Baptist Church, Allison, Texas.
