County Star News 11/5/15
Born on 11/6/1947 in Altus to James and Iva Darnell; graduated from Hollis OK 
High School and earned a nursing degree from Clarendon Junior College. Retired 
from geriatric nursing in 2013. Preceded in death by her parents and Jimmy. 
Survived by husband, John, of the home in Stephenville, Texas; children James 
and Becky Thompson of Hamilton, Jennifer and Bob Montgomery of Lampasas, Texas,
Jahleel
Jahleel and Greeg Purcelia of Hamilton as well as Barbie, Chris Cox and Bethany 
Smith; grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also survived by brother Dan 
(Rita) Darnell of Deer Park, Texas, and  sister D'Anna (Joe) Jernigan of 
Shamrock, Texas. Memorial service at Calvary Christian Fellowship of Shamrock on 
November 6th and interment at Fairview Cemetery in Hollis, OK, on November 7th.
