Born 4/19/1939 in Wheeler to James Franklin and Myrtle Glover Sherfield. Grew up 
in Sweetwater, OK and graduated from Meridian High School in 1958. Married Ralph 
Edwards on 3/8/1961 in Shamrock, TX. Died in Lubbock. Services 7/2/2016 at 
Family Center at Ramage Funeral Directors in Hale Center. Burial in Hale 
Cemetery. Preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters. 
Survived by her husband, Ralph Edwards, of Hale Center; daughter Carolyn Jean 
(Scott Braddock) Trevino of Canyon; daughter Lucinda (Carlos)Jara of Cotton 
Center; sisters Charlene Bagby of Sand Springs, OK, and Mable Ferguson of 
Albuquerque, NM; best friend Marie Bland. Also seven grandchildren and 16 great 
grandchildren.
