County Star News 6/18/2015
Born 14 July 1928 in Courtney, Oklahoma to William and Ann Jacobs. Graduated 
from Alanreed and attended Abilene Christian University. Wrote for the Wichita 
Eagle & Beacon, Gainesville Daily Register and the Amarillo Globe News. She coo-
authored a historical account of South Haven, Kansas called "Shoofly City". 
Survived by daughter Kathy (Paul) Mullen, son Mike (Diane) Failing, and Phyllis 
(Mark) Young, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services were 18 June 2015 
at Shamrock Cemetery.
