Born 10/21/1922 in Twitty to Dick and Thelma Gierhart; died in Lubbock, Texas. 
Married Mildred Henderson on 9/26/1947 in Shamrock. He was a farmer and rancher 
prior to retirement and member of 1st Baptist Church in Shamrock. Preceded in 
death by his parents and his sister, Inez Gierhart. He is survived by his wife, 
Mildred, of Lubbock; a son, Mel (Nancy) Gierhart of Levelland; two 
grandchildren, and a great grandchild. Graveside services 3/10/2016 in Shamrock 
Cemetery.
