Born in Shamrock, TX, to Glen and Perl King; graduated from Shamrock High 
School and served in the Navy. Married Patricia Fone. Active in St Paul United 
Methodist church. Survived by his wife Patricia; son Fredrick King, Jr and his 
partner Eric Speck; daughter Leslie Smith; daughter Rebecca (Brad) 
Stubblefield; sisters Patty Axe and Mary Selby; five grandchildren, nieces and 
nephews. Services 2/26/2016 at St Paul United Methodist Church; burial at 
Dallas-Fort Worth national Cemetery at a later date.
