Born 13 Feb 1931 in Wheeler, Texas, to Lee and Nellie Beaty Lackey. Joined USAF 
in 1951. Graduated from Texas Tech; earned PhD from University of Tennessee. 
Taught at Bluefield State College. Preceded in death by daughter, Cheryl Lackey
Sylvis
Sylvis. Survived by wife, Debbie; daughter Pattie (Edward) Gibson; daughter 
Tammy (Elvis) Boswell, son Richard (Annie), son Doyle (Ima); siblings Rita 
Pearson, Joe Lackey, Carrol Lackey, and Jerry Lackey; grandchildren, great 
grandchildren. Memorial held 21 Aug 2015 at New Vision Pentecostal Holiness 
Church in Princeton. Passed away at Princeton Community Hospital.
