Locke, County Clerk By H. B. Spiller, Deputy Additional Comments: Ivy Black Pursley was born in Auguata, Butler County, Kansas on 11 Dec. 1871 to William Thomas Black and Mary Susan Lard. She died in June 1969 at the age of 97. Burial is in Miami, Roberts County, Texas. C. C. Pursley was a miner who traveled throughout Colorado. Mary Susan Lard was the daughter of William Thomas Lard and Catherine Staley Chittim. Ivy lived with her maternal grandparents in Mobeetie after the death of her parents in 1877.
