What has been known to all old timers in Wichita Falls as the Colonel James place, on the corner of Tenth and Barnett streets, has during the past week been sold to Chenault & Wheat who will erect on the site a three-story modern automobile sales rooms, the deal having been made through the real estate firm of Holbrook & Woods. The passing of this landmark will recall to many the times when the James home was considered the finest structure, in Wichita County and was called by Colonel James ÒThe Mirage Eminence,Ó and is an example of the building activity of this city. Magnolia Petroleum Co. Pays $50,000 for corner of Tenth and Scotts Streets. Property now occupied by the Carter gasoline filling station. The property was sold by Mrs. C. Joline, Holbrook & Woods handling the deal.
