MARIE FORCHER_Mrs. Marie Forcher, wife of P. J. Forcher, died Wednesday morning at 6:35, at the Forcher farm, 10 miles south of Wichita Falls. The funeral was held at the residence, conducted by W. H. Mahlar, pastor of the Evangelical church of Bowman at 3:00 p. m. Sunday, April 4._God has called our dear mother home to heaven. "It will seem more than ever like home to us now." Although afflicted for many years, God in His mercy spared her the pain of being confined to her bed long, being active until the day before her demise, age 74 years, 9 months, 25 days. The interment was made in the Bowman cemetery._The following is a brief obituary:_Mrs. P. J. Focher[sic] (nee Marie Decker) was born June 5, 1845, Hanover, Province, Germany. She was united in marriage to Peter J. Forcher May 1, 1874; came to America in 1882, and living in the state of Illinois until 1892, when she came to Texas. She leaves one daughter, Anna, of St. Louis, Mo., and five sons, Fred Forcher of Ordway, Colo., Ulrich and George Forcher of Archer county, and Willie Forcher of Hot Springs, Idaho, and John Forcher, a step-son, of Dinuba, Calif., all of whom are married. She also leaves three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. A. Altman of Nebraska, Mrs. H. Tammen of Clay county, Mrs. A. Koenig and Mrs.[sic-probably should be Mr.] A. F. Decker of Archer county, Mr. Will Decker of the state of Washington. She also leaves 12 grand children, many other relatives and friends to mourn her departure.
