A. Thorberry, and was born at Thornberry, in Clay county, not far from this city, Jan. 20, 1898, being at the time of death 22 years 4 months and 8 days old. _With her parents' she resided for years in Andrews, Tex., where she attended school. She had been in this city since last September with her sisters and relatives. _About two weeks ago she was taken ill, presumably from the bite of an insect, supposed to be a black spider. _Her father and mother reached her bedside last Tuesday and were with her when the end came. She leaves her father and mother and two sisters, Miss Rebecca Thornberry and Mrs. Lory Shields, beside a number of relatives and a host of friends. She had converted in her childhood, and was a consistent member of the Methodist church. Her sweet and cheerful disposition endeared her to all who knew her, and her untimely death is greatly mourned
