She was united in marriage at Wichita Falls, Texas, February 19, 1913, to Mr. Chas. I. Wachholtz. After several days of intense suffering she fell asleep in Christ _Thursday afternoon, June 18, 1914. Her devoted husband, father and mother were with her during her sickness. All was done in the way of nursing and medical skill that could be done to relieve her, but to no avail; the disease was too much. She wanted to live and made a noble fight for life, but expressed her willingness and readiness to go if it was her Saviour's desire to take her. The funeral was conducted from the home, 1516 Thirteenth street, Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock by Rev. Roscoe Miller, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Her father and mother, Mr. Frank C. Clark and wife, one brother and four sisters, of Tologa, Okla., were present. There was also a large number of sympathizing friends and neighbors. "Nearer My God, to Thee," "Abide With Me" and Again"[sic] were beautifully rendered by Mrs. E. L. Fulton and Mrs. W. H. Davis. Mrs. Wichholtz was of a sweet, amiable disposition, and had many friends. To know her was to love her. The family has the deepest sympathy of the entire community. While she is gone from us, she is not forgotten, and we will ever live in the hope of meeting beyond this life. A FRIEND.
