Lat, 98° 59' 30" W. Long or about 23 miles as the crow flies Southeast of Vernon. To get to the cemetery from Vernon (senic route) take U.S. 183/283 south about 13 miles to Zacaweista (The headquarters of the Waggoner ranch.). Turn East on Farm Road 1763 & follow it for about 2.6 miles. It will intersect with Farm Road 1811. Turn right (South) on 1811 and follow it for about 10 miles till it intersects with Farm Road 2326. Turn right (again South). The cemetery is about 2.5 miles from that intersection. Most of this route is through open range of the Waggoner ranch. Watch out for cattle and other critters. To take the faster route, take U.S. 287 South (actually East) from Vernon to Electra. In Electra, take Texas 25 South for about 1.2 miles to Farm Road 1811. Turn right (West) on 1811 & go for about 7 miles to the intersection of F. R. 2326. Turn left (South). The cemetery is about 2.5 miles from this intersection. If you are planning to go to the site, be sure to wear long trousers and sturdy shoes, for it is covered with yucca, prickley pear and horse crippler cactus.   There are 20 - 25 graves that are marked only with native rock buried on it's end or covered with rocks. . There is no inscription on any of these. The only ones with any legible headstones are: Capt. H. B. Wilkinson 26 Feb. 1819 - 5 Jul. 1893. There is another grave inside the small fenced area with this one. It is marked only with a native stone buried on end. There are no markings on it. Dr. Frank C. Steinman Capt.
