Billy Jack Acton

Billy Jack Acton, 58, of Elkview died Aug. 3, 1999, from injuries received in
a fire at his house, said a spokesman for the Pinch Volunteer Fire Department.

He was a native of Vernon, Texas, and a driving instructor for the U.S. Postal
Service. He was a member of South Hills Church of the Nazarene and an Army
veteran of the Vietnam War.

Surviving: wife, Judy Kiser Acton; son, Curtis Acton of Pigeon; mother, Sue
Acton of Vernon; sisters, Jean Draper of Oklahoma City, Charlene Halencak of
Vernon, Pauline Grubbs of Phoenix; brother, Arthur Lee Coleman of Longview,
Texas; one grandchild.

Memorial service will be 6 p.m. Saturday at South Hills Church of the Nazarene
with Pastor John Prichard and Pastor Glen Thaxton officiating. There will be
no visitation. Elk Funeral Home, Charleston, is in charge of arrangements.
